NEW YORK, May 15, 2017 – Interior Design Magazine and ICFF are pleased to announce the finalists to the second annual NYCxDESIGN Awards. The program celebrates outstanding talent across major areas of design such as architecture, interiors, furnishings, lighting, and technology, and unifies the more than 500 events taking place during NYCxDESIGN, New York City’s showcase of global design. Finalists for both Products and Projects were named in over 50 categories.
Interior Design and ICFF created The NYCxDESIGN Awards to honor the outstanding products exhibited throughout NYCxDESIGN and to highlight the New York-based projects completed throughout the year. The submissions were reviewed by a panel of 30 design luminaries. Winner and Honorees will be recognized live in a ceremony at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) on May 20th at 6 pm that will be streamed live on Interior Design’s Facebook. In addition, those recognized will be published in Interior Design, and promoted on the publication’s digital channels. For the second year, Lladró will create a custom version of their unique piece, The Guest, as the 2017 winner award.
The full list of finalists can be found on the NYCxDESIGN website. New this year is the NYCxDESIGN Awards student category, sponsored by NYCxDESIGN. In its inaugural year, the category received over 100 student product submissions. Ten finalists will be honored at the ceremony.
