New York, NY, June 27, 2011 – Sandow (www.sandow.dev) announces the acquisition of Events International, a global marketing firm renowned for reaching exclusive audiences through fully integrated luxury event solutions. The purchase marks a formidable addition to Sandow’s experiential platform, which currently includes Gen Art, national producers of fashion, film, art and music events, designed to showcase the hottest up-and-coming talents in their industries.
Under Sandow’s leadership, Events International will be brought in under the Worth group, joining the Worth brand to extend the many experiential initiatives in development, enhancing the existing platform, which includes Worth’s established high-end events for clients such as Rolls-Royce and Chartis. In keeping with its focus to represent premium marquees in every luxury category, Curator Events will continue producing high-end interactive experiences within the luxury brand community, targeting and connecting with affluent audiences by utilizing a multifaceted approach to event planning and execution, which includes print and digital media, local outreach, social integration and experiential activities.
“This acquisition is an important step for us,” said Adam Sandow, Chairman and CEO of Sandow. “Events International has unmatched expertise as a premier luxury event solution for high net worth individuals who seek a unique experience. This will complement and enhance the mission and offerings of the Worth group and its future developments.”
Events and Business Development Director of Worth Media Group, LLC, Timothy P. McGrane, previously served as Vice President of Event Marketing for CurtCo Media, where he and his division created the “Best of the Best” event franchise for Robb Report magazine. These events—which achieved legendary status over their lifespan—elevated the presence of some of the world’s most esteemed brands and the publication worldwide. Other notable ongoing client experiences that were developed included event involvement such as the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the Cavallino Classic and the creation of the DeLUXE San Diego event.
The premiere event, entitled Curator, will feature world-class luxury products and services, will be debuting on Oct 26 & 27, during the 2011 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Upcoming 2012 events are already slated for San Diego, New York, Chicago and Dallas. “We are excited about joining Sandow and the opportunities it presents to our company,” said McGrane. “Supported by the resources and momentum of the Sandow organization, we will offer even deeper live connections between premiere brands and hard to reach, discriminating consumers.” Adds James N. Dimonekas, Executive Vice President, Group Publisher at Worth, “Tim really understands how to engage with both clients on the partnership level, and the high net worth individual on the experiential level. The Curator Events series marks a defining moment in the world of luxury, as Worth Media will bridge our clients and their brands to our readers through personal education. The launch at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show will serve as a foundation to the other markets already slated, including San Diego, Dallas, New York and Chicago.”
