SANDOW Announces Three New Corporate Positions to Oversee Digital, Events and Production

Internal promotions and hires part of new structure to maximize integration opportunities and revenue growth.

NEW YORK and BOCA RATON, FL, August 13, 2013 — SANDOW (, a leader in building multiplatform brands in consumer and business media, retail and e-commerce, licensing and marketing, is building out its corporate team with the promotion of two internal staffers, Pamela S. McNally and Rachel Long, to the newly created positions of Executive Director, Digital and Executive Director, Events, respectively. In addition, Shawn Larson recently joined SANDOW as Vice President, Production, another newly created position at the company. The news was announced today by Peter Fain, SANDOW’s Chief Operating Officer.

These moves are part of an overall goal to foster more collaboration and cross-pollination amongst SANDOW’s brands, which include Interior Design Media, Worth, NewBeautyLuxe Interiors + Design, Culture + Commerce, Material ConneXion and Fred Segal, and to increase efficiency and revenue growth across the company.

Since 2011, McNally served as Digital Media Director at Interior Design Media. In her new role, effective immediately, she will oversee digital for all of SANDOW’s brands, with the goal of strategically expanding online reach and market share, as well as capitalizing on emerging digital growth opportunities to build scalable, branded programs. McNally has helped drive advertising revenues by increasing Interior Design’s digital presence across platforms and devices. In addition, McNally introduced more original content and video to the site and expanded the brand’s social media presence across platforms like Twitter and Facebook. Prior to joining SANDOW, McNally was VP-Digital and Editorial Operations at Niche Media. She is based in the company’s global headquarters in New York City.

On the events front, Long brings years of experience running major conferences in the design industry, both in her most recent role as Events Director at Interior Design Media for the past two years and, previously, as Special Projects Director at Hospitality Design magazine. At Interior Design, Long developed and launched two major annual conferences, Giants of Design and Hospitality Giants, which bring together the best and brightest in the design community, and oversaw a number of more intimate events across the country, all of which helped drive new advertising revenue.

In her new position, Long will head up a centralized events team, which will create and execute events of all levels for SANDOW and its brands. A team of events professionals currently working at each of the brands will now report in to Long, who will be based out of the New York office.

Larson joined SANDOW in April as VP, Production. He brings to the company 18 years of operations management experience and 10 years of application development experience for companies such as Bonnier, TransWorld Media, Que-Net Media and International Color Services. The core of Larson’s responsibilities are to streamline processes and increase efficiency, continue to develop staff, enhance overall product quality, support ongoing operations and budget and expense management. Larson is based out of SANDOW’s corporate headquarters in Boca Raton, Florida.
